Privacy Policy

Family Chores: Home Board helps families organize chores without advertising, third-party behavioral analytics or a Family Chores account.

Information handled

The app may handle family member display names, chore names and schedules, completion states, optional display and completion images, parent-control settings, notification preferences and purchase entitlement information supplied by Apple.

Storage and synchronization

Family data is kept in protected local app storage. When iCloud is available, Apple CloudKit can synchronize app data through the user’s iCloud account and with family board accounts a parent explicitly invites. Shared family data may include member display information, chore details, schedules, progress and selected images.

Photos, PIN and notifications

Selected chore images are re-encoded so the stored copy does not retain source EXIF or GPS metadata. The parent PIN uses Apple Keychain and is not sent to a developer server. Notifications use generic wording and can be changed in iOS Settings.

Purchases and deletion

Apple processes Family Pro subscriptions and legacy verified lifetime purchases; the app does not store payment-card details. Parents can edit or remove family information. Local removal does not automatically erase copies already synchronized to another authorized device, exported, backed up or retained offline until that device reconnects.
